SCULPTRA

Sculptra is an injectable that stimulates your own body’s natural ability to form collagen and smooth and tighten the skin. Results are gradual and seen over time and can be permanent. Book your appointment online

What is Sculptra?

The Slow and Steady Sculptra treatment is 3.0 cc’s of a collagen-stimulating injectable called Sculptra Aesthetic. Sculptra is not a filler, and won’t give you instant volume, rather it stimulates your body to make its own collagen and repair the tissue and skin from the inside out. Results are seen over time.

How Long Does Sculptra Last?

Sculptra is actually considered to be semi-permanent because it is your own body’s collagen and tissue that is being formed. Of course, over time your collagen will gradually decrease due to aging. The recommended dosage of Sculptra is a single treatment per decade of your age, done 1-2 treatments at a time, 4-6 weeks apart, followed by 1-2 treatments of maintenance yearly.

Does Sculptra Hurt?

Worried about pain? There is Lidocaine mixed in with the Sculptra that definitely helps take the edge off!

Is There Any Downtime or Recovery After This Treatment?

Everyone is different- we have some BeautyLabbers who walk out of their injections appointments totally ready to go… and others who tend to bruise and swell. It really depends on your own individual physiology and body chemistry! Most people do swell a bit… Generally, the morning after your injections is when you are going to be the most swollen. DON’T PANIC. This is normal and is actually supposed to happen! Typically, you will be a little swollen for a few days, up to a week after your injections. You are also going to be doing 5 5-minute massages in the area being injected for 5 days following your Sculptra treatment. This is to ensure that the Sculptra is dispersed into the tissue. Stay hydrated, avoid Ibuprofen before your appointment, and we recommend starting a course of Arnica Montana (a homeopathic remedy for bruising and swelling,) which we sell here for $12.

How Much Does Sculptra Cost?

Sculptra is $800 for a single treatment. Double Sculptra is that $1600. The recommended dosage of Sculptra is a single treatment per decade of your age, done 1-2 treatments at a time, 4-6 weeks apart, followed by 1-2 treatments of maintenance yearly.

How Long Will My Appointment Take?

Slow and Steady Sculptra takes about 15-30 minutes, and about 15 minutes more than that if you would like to do a PRP add-on for $200. Your time is precious- we don’t want to waste it!

Is There Any Prep for This Treatment?

To minimize your chances of bruising, we recommend avoiding ibuprofen and blood-thinning medications for 3 days before your injections. If you are prone to cold sores, you may want to start a course of treatment. Not sure what to do for cold sores? Just give us a call. 801-281-3223.

Are There Any Products I Should be Using at Home?

Yes! A good skincare regimen is paramount to keeping you looking young and beautiful. Specifically, a Hyaluronic Acid is the perfect partner for all filler injections. It’s proven to plump the appearance of your skin, as well as adds smoothing and hydrating benefits. We also recommend using SkinMedica’s TNS Essential Serum.
